Product Care

Keep your Keepthatpump activewear looking its best by following the care instructions below:

PROPER WASHING CARE

Turn each piece inside out before it goes in the wash. Washing new items on their own by hand for the first few cycles is the best way to stop colour from transferring.

WASH SEPARATELY

Keep dark shades apart from light ones so the colours don't bleed into each other.

COLD DELICATE CYCLE

Wash on a cold, delicate setting. Cold water makes bleeding and fading far less likely, and the delicate cycle is kinder to the fabric. Stay away from warm water.

AVOID INTENSE DETERGENTS

Skip fabric softener, bleach, stain removers and any other harsh detergent.

AIR DRY GARMENTS

Hang everything to dry outdoors away from direct sunlight, and keep it out of the tumble dryer.

DIFFERENT COLOUR LONGEVITY

Certain shades lose brightness sooner than others — it depends on how the fabric and the dye behave together.

A simple trick to hold colour for longer: drop a tablespoon of salt into the wash.

The chloride in salt helps seal the colour in, so your pieces stay vivid for more wears.

SEAMLESS FABRIC CARE

Seamless fabric is a delicate construction — treat it gently so it keeps its strength and lasts longer.

  • Slide seamless shorts and leggings on the same way you would a pair of stockings. Long nails can pierce or catch the knit, so ease the fabric into place instead of yanking it.
  • Pull the shorts all the way up and settle them into position before you squat in them.
  • Steer clear of sitting on or rubbing against abrasive surfaces such as velcro or concrete, as they can ruin the fabric.
  • Wear the right size. If you fall between sizes, go up in every recoil and core scrunch legging or short. A scrunch bum style that is too tight will eventually split, either across the scrunch or along the leg seam.

Because of how the fabric is knitted and dyed, seamless styles lose colour faster than non-seamless ones by nature. Expect your seamless shorts to fade ahead of the matching non-seamless sports bra.

Sticking to the guide above will help them last longer.
